I've been in sports at some level since I was kid. I played soccer and ran cross country in high school. As an adult, I played indoor and outdoor coed soccer for a few years and then transitioned to mountain biking. For the last several years, I've focused on strength training, running and endurance events (like road races, OCRs, and GORUCK). Following a persistent knee injury, I had to decrease the distance I was running so I started looking for something new to try. Catrine and I did a hero WOD at SM on an open gym day and I joined shortly after!
