Hey Members!
Mark your calendars! We are VERY excited to announce the 1st ever Social Mechanics Fast and Furriest 5K at White Rock Lake on June 18th! This event is a run/walk/jog that benefits our furry friends at the SPCA of Texas! This is not our first fundraising 5K; last May we raised over $1000 for the South Dallas based charity, 4 Oak Cliff! Let's try to beat that amount this year!
We will meet in the White Rock Alehouse (7331 Gaston Avenue) by the Santa Fe Trail. 5K will kick off at 9:30am on the trail! The participation fee for the event is $15 and all proceeds will be donated directly to the SCPA of Texas. Plus, all donors will receive a nifty gift from the gym and some post-run refreshments.
Bring your 2 legged and 4 legged friends for this event and stick around after for some drinks at the White Rock Brewery. This will be great time to hang out with other members plus contribute to a great cause!
