About the Event

Will you join us?

You may have noticed a sweet new board up at the front of the gym, with the slogan "BREAKING RECORDS" across the top. We have a high hopes for this board that we think are really going to knock your socks off.

We'd like to invite you, our members, to choose a fitness goal for the year ahead and put it up on the board.

And we'd like to brainstorm our goals together over a cup of coffee!

What: Coffee (provided by the gym) + goal setting get together

When: this coming Saturday, January 28th Time: 10:30am right after Community Class

You do not need to attend one of the Saturday classes to join this event. Coaches will be there to help inspire and guide your goal.

There is a science to  writing something down - and we think the goal board will be an awesome way to both hold each other accountable and to celebrate our efforts and accomplishments together as a team.

Did we mention socks?

If you achieve your goal in 2023, we want to celebrate with you! Each member that reaches their goal this year will receive a pair of goal setting exclusive Social Mechanics socks - meaning the only way to get these socks it to reach your goal! They are not for sale!

The sock are a new design in high viz yellow and we'll have them in the gym for you to see very soon.

About your goals:

1) Achievable in the next 3-6 months and up to the remainder of the year - we want this to be something that takes some real work and commitment! So adding 5# to your back squat 1RM isn't quite ideal, but adding 20# might be! Your coaches will work with you to help get your goals right for you.

2) Gym related - while we love the idea of a promotion at work, it's not something that we as a gym or as coaches can show up each day to help you achieve. We'd like for these goals to be something we can support and work on with you.

3) Measurable - what gets measured gets changed! We would like for these goals to be measurable. Some examples: attend 4 classes a week, drop 15% body fat, PR my 1K row, do a muscle up, snatch 80# (in barbell class)

Again, your coaches will work with you to set personal and achievable goals!
